(a.k.a. Exchange 29)

Then there's a knot in my stomach I can't seem to untangle
I'm drowning in thoughts of hours earlier
Before the sun rose
In our quiet little bubble

I smiled in the middle of our kiss
"Why are you laughing?", you asked
"Because I missed this", I said
And I let out a louder chuckle
As my hands, having a mind of their own
Went on to explore the rest of your body
Lying on top of me

It's not the same
It gets better
Oh, definitely better
I wake up with a smile on my face
And a heavy but happy heart

I let the knot settle in my stomach
Asking it to stay that way
It is a reminder that I am alive
And that it wasn't a dream
